Brookline seeks a highly skilled Owner’s Project Manager (OPM) to lead major capital construction projects, including the development of a new fire station and comprehensive renovations to existing fire station facilities. This term-limited role offers a unique opportunity to support Brookline’s ambitious Fossil Free Fuel (FFF) initiative and modernize essential public safety infrastructure.
The OPM will oversee full-cycle project management for fire station construction and FFF-related upgrades. Key work includes replacing fossil fuel HVAC systems with fully fossil‑free alternatives, upgrading electrical systems, and implementing complete MEP modernization; will coordinate design and construction teams, manage schedules and budgets, conduct site visits, maintain project documentation, and ensure compliance with public procurement, building codes, and sustainability standards. The role also involves presenting project updates to boards, committees, and community stakeholders.
Qualifications
Registered architect or Professional Engineer with five-plus years of experience, or a relevant bachelor’s degree with seven-plus years in public construction oversight. Massachusetts OPM certification (or ability to obtain within six months) and a valid driver’s license are required.
Salary Range: $111,742–$126,431 and fully benefited for the duration of the assignment.
