The town of Mattapoisett is seeking highly motivated and qualified applicants for the position of Public Health Nurse for the Board of Health.

The Public Health Nurse provides public health nursing services in preventive health, home health, emergency preparedness, and clinic programs. This includes offering assessment, diagnosis, teaching, counseling, and prevention services to individuals, families, and groups to enhance health and wellness within the town. These services must be delivered in a timely manner and adhere to all municipal, state, and federal guidelines, regulations, and quality standards, with a focus on safe, courteous, and professional interactions.

The ideal candidate for the Public Health Nurse position will be a Registered Professional Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and at least four years of experience in public health or community health nursing or community health nursing and familiarity with public health, emergency preparedness, or the equivalent combination of education, experience, and training. They will possess a thorough knowledge of public health and a strong understanding of state and local health programs and resources. The candidate must be able to work independently, manage cases effectively, communicate clearly, and maintain confidentiality while adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.

This is a full-time, in-person position, 35 hours/week with a salary range of $75,000 – $85,000.
