The town of Wayland is seeking a full-time dedicated Public Health Nurse to join our Health Department team. This position plays an essential role in promoting and protecting the health and well-being of Wayland’s 14,000 residents. Primary responsibilities include health promotion, disease prevention, health education, emergency and pandemic preparedness and coordination across the community. Position also provides oversight and supervision to the Community Health Nurse Program provided in the Wayland public school system.
Bachelor’s degree in nursing and over four years of experience in public health nursing or community health. Prior supervisory experience with public health, emergency preparedness, and school nursing programs is highly preferred. Must have valid driver’s license and current Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure. Currently certified or ability to obtain certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and first aid.
Salary range: $90,902 to $114,040, depending upon qualifications. This is a full-time position 35 hours/week. Wayland offers a four-day work week during the summer months and a generous benefit package.
