Town Administrator

Stratham, NH (7,700) is in the Seacoast region of the state, situated along Great Bay, minutes from historic Portsmouth and the NH coastline. Located 50 miles north of Boston and 30 miles east of Manchester, NH it is accessible to the myriad of cultural, educational, and recreational resources of the Northeast. As the Chief Administrator Officer, the Town Administrator supervises the day-to-day town operations.

The ideal candidate should:

• Possess an extensive knowledge of municipal government operations.
• Be a collaborator, communicator, and an effective public speaker.
• Proven record of positive financial management and strategic planning.
• Ability to lead, organize, inspire, and develop staff.
• Willingness to manage town affairs in an open and transparent manner.
• Strong public ethics, integrity, and accountability.
• Demonstrated skills in working collaboratively, building consensus, and providing innovative solutions.
• Master’s degree in a related field and five years’ municipal management experience preferred. An equivalent combination of education and experience which demonstrates possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may also be considered.

Stratham offers a highly competitive benefit package, and a salary range to $140,000, starting salary DOQ. EOE.
