The town of Groveland is seeking qualified and motivated applicants to join our team as the Town Planner and Conservation Agent.
This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) responsible for directing and performing municipal land use planning and conservation functions, as well as providing staff support to various land use boards and committees. Flexible scheduling and remote work hours are available, subject to approval.
The Town Planner and Conservation Agent performs a broad range of duties, including:
• Reviewing and analyzing development proposals.
• Providing technical assistance to the Planning Board, Zoning Board of Appeals, and Conservation Commission.
• Administering and enforcing the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act and the Groveland Wetlands Bylaw.
• Reviewing permit applications and conducting site inspections for compliance.
• Supporting long-range planning initiatives and natural resource protection strategies.
The ideal candidate will have:
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and relevant database or spreadsheet applications.
Salary Range: $81,800 – $83,520, depending on qualifications.
