The town of Littleton is seeking qualified applicants for a Veteran’s Agent position in the Veteran Services department not to exceed 19 hours per week. Responsibilities include performing a variety of activities to identify the special needs of veterans and their dependents and expedite their entitlements and to coordinate veterans programs related to federal and state agencies; Under the provisions of Chapter 115 of the General Laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts pertaining to veterans benefits and veterans services, and under the executive direction of the Select Board as delegated to the Town Administrator. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently. Occasional work on weekends may be required for attendance at certain events.
Successful candidates must be a Veteran and have knowledge of veterans’ affairs and services; must have working knowledge of statutes pertaining to veterans’ affairs and services within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts; and possession of a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
