Job Description

The town of Shrewsbury, a full-service local government driven by high performance and creativity, seeks a dependable team player to join the Water and Sewer division of the department of Public Works!  The town will assist the successful candidate in obtaining the licensure required for the Water Technician position.

The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week and perform routine but responsible manual work in the construction, maintenance, and repair of facilities for water supply and distribution systems and sewage collection systems.

Water Technician pay range with all required licenses: $28.99-$32.53 – Licenses Required for Water Technician: MA Class A CDL, MA Hoisting Licenses 1B, 2A, 3A, Treatment Grade 2, Distribution Grade 2, MA Backflow Tester License, MA Cross Connection Surveyor License

Without all required licenses the successful candidate will start on the pay scale as a Water Laborer or Water Specialist and assistance will be provided to obtain the licensure.
