The Center for Women in Politics and Public Policy at UMass Boston has developed a brief survey to collect demographic information on all elected officials in Massachusetts.

The Massachusetts Representation Project aims to collect race, ethnicity and gender information and aggregate it by municipality, region and legislative district.

The project’s website describes the broad goal of the study: “In order to move the needle toward inclusive and diverse leadership across the Commonwealth and ensure that gender parity and racial equity become a reality, it’s critical to know more about who is serving in public office.”

The survey results will be made available in an interactive web platform and series of fact sheets.

The survey, available at https://tinyurl.com/MassRepProject, should take just a minute or two to complete.
