About the MMMA Membership Scholarship Award

The MMMA is seeking to promote and encourage membership in the Association for those town managers/administrators and assistant managers/administrators who have been inactive or those who have never participated. The MMMA offers tremendous resources for all city and town managers through networking, training, professional development, sharing ideas/policies/strategies, and providing access to resources in the profession. Active participation in MMMA meetings, events and committees benefits managers/administrators and assistant managers/administrators, as well as the communities they serve.

The MMMA Executive Committee has prioritized this initiative to enhance Association participation by inactive or non-member managers and assistant managers. We recognize that some municipalities have limited resources for professional development and association membership for the manager/administrator and assistant manager/administrator. We have created the MMMA Membership Scholarship to provide financial assistance several of those municipalities to enable their town managers/administrators and assistant managers/administrators who are not currently members to become active in the Association. We firmly believe that MMMA participation is has a significant and positive impact on the success of managers/administrators and their municipalities, as well as the future of the profession. It is our hope that after one year as a Scholarship member, municipalities will recognize the value of MMMA participation and continue to support membership for their respective manager/administrator.
