The MMA and Suffolk University will collaborate on a second Municipal Finance Management Seminar this fall in New Bedford.

The MMA and Suffolk launched the finance program this past spring in Westborough and graduated 25 students on March 29.

The seminar, held over the course of five Fridays, is designed for municipal officials looking to further their careers in municipal finance or employees new to municipal finance.

The seminar covers nine topics in municipal finance. Modules include budgeting, financial reporting, treasury functions, property assessment, and costing out contracts. The program concludes on the fifth Friday with a discussion of best practices and celebratory lunch.

The application deadline is 5 p.m. on July 31. The cost of the seminar is $825.
