Climate change and related issues will be the focus of the Massachusetts Municipal Lawyers Association’s annual half-day program on Aug. 10 at the Publick House in Sturbridge.

MMA members are welcome to attend.

The event will feature the following presentations:
• Adding Climate to Home Rule Wetland Bylaws, with attorney Gregor McGregor
• Chronic Drought, Water Conservation Measures and Flooding: Infrastructure Protection, with Franklin Public Works Director Robert “Brutus” Cantoreggi
• Local Building Construction Regulation (including adoption of stretch codes, local bylaws prohibiting/limiting fossil fuel use), with attorney Mina Makarious
• Local Regulation of Large-Scale Solar and Battery Storage Facilities, with attorneys Nina Pickering-Cook, Jessica Wall, and Carolyn Murray
• Electric Vehicles and EV Charging Stations, with Barbara Saint Andre, the community and economic development director in Medway

The luncheon will start at 11:30 a.m., followed by the program. The event will conclude at 5 p.m.

Luncheon and program: $90 for MMLA members, $100 for nonmembers

Program only: $75 for MMLA members, $85 for nonmembers
