Three Massachusetts officials were nominated for the inaugural Leadership Trailblazer Award from the League of Women in Government and National Research Center, and one is a finalist.

Needham Town Manager Kate Fitzpatrick is one of 10 finalists for the national award, which recognizes an accomplished leader in the local government profession who has championed and inspired other women to achieve as well.

Concord Assistant Town Manager Kate Hodges and MassDevelopment Transformative Development Director Anne Haynes were also nominated for the award.

A panel of judges selected the 10 finalists from a list of 56 nominees.

The winner will be announced at the League of Women in Government’s third Annual Symposium on Sept. 22 in conjunction with the International City/County Management Association Annual Conference in Baltimore, Maryland.

This year’s recipient will be the first person inducted into the League of Women in Government Hall of Fame.
