The MMA is in the process of gathering updates from cities and towns for its 2018-2019 Massachusetts Municipal Directory, a comprehensive resource for municipal data and connecting with colleagues.
As of May 23, 77 communities had updated their information using the convenient online tool. Acushnet was the first community to complete its updates this year, with Administrative Assistant Lisa Leonard submitting them at 8:57 a.m. on April 30, the day that the first emails were sent with links to the online tool.
The MMA greatly appreciates the help of local officials across the state in promptly updating the information for their community. The online update form is pre-populated with the personnel information currently in the MMA database. It takes only a few minutes to update.
The MMA is sending emails to the chief municipal official in each community with a link to the tool and the username to access it. Chief municipal officials can provide their username and password to whomever they delegate to update their community’s information.
Emails have been sent to all cities. Towns receive the email shortly after their annual election.
The Massachusetts Municipal Directory includes listings of local officials and contact information, as well as demographic and financial data, for all of the state’s cities and towns. There are also sections devoted to regional school districts, state and federal government agencies, and relevant professional organizations, as well as a guide to products and services for municipalities.
The new edition of the directory will be published in August.
