The 2014 Massachusetts Pavement Preservation Techniques Showcase will be held on June 17 in Devens.

The day-long event brings together industry experts and municipal public works professionals to discuss the technical merits of pavement preservation maintenance treatments and how municipalities in Massachusetts are putting them to work.

This is an opportunity to learn more about ultrathin overlays, stress absorbing interlayers (SAMI), slurry seal, hot-in-place recycling, polymer additives, and more.

The event is geared toward all personnel responsible for the efficient and effective management, rehabilitation, and maintenance of roadways.

This Baystate Roads Program event is a cooperative effort of the Federal Highway Administration, MassDOT and the University of Massachusetts Transportation Center.

The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. at the Devens Common Center at 31 Andrews Parkway in Devens.

The registration fee, which includes lunch, is $35 for municipal representatives and $70 for the private sector.

For more information and to register, visit the Baystate Roads Program website or contact the program at cindy@baystateroads.org or (413) 577-2762.
