Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
In July and August, the Massachusetts Clean Water Trust’s Board of Trustees approved $367.7 million in low-interest loans and grants to municipalities through the Massachusetts State Revolving Funds.
The funds help communities build or replace water infrastructure that enhances existing water resources, ensures drinking water safety, protects public health, and increases community resilience.
More than $335 million in clean water project loans went to Barnstable, the Boston Water and Sewer Commission, Chatham, Eastham, Fitchburg, Haverhill, Hull, Lowell, Nantucket, New Bedford, Orleans, Provincetown, Revere and Swampscott.
The Dracut Water Supply District and the towns of Pepperell and Yarmouth received nearly $31.7 million in drinking water project loans.
The town of Upton and the South Grafton Water District received cybersecurity loans of $30,000 and $15,000, respectively. Upton also received a $30,000 grant for cybersecurity improvement.
In The Beginning Preschool, East End House, and Frances Jacobson Early Childhood Center received $3,000 each for school water improvement.
