The Healey-Driscoll administration on July 1 announced the opening of the application portal for the fiscal 2027 Destination Development Capital Grant Program, which will provide up to $8 million in funding for capital projects that enhance tourism infrastructure and increase non-resident visitation to Massachusetts.
The grant program, operated in partnership with the Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism, supports tourism-related capital improvements that promote sustainability, accessibility, and long-term economic impact. Priority consideration will be given to projects that advance the state’s tourism goals, including climate resiliency, rural development, and designated cultural districts.
Eligible applicants include municipalities, nonprofit organizations, and other entities undertaking capital projects that expand, construct, restore, or renovate tourism destinations and attractions.
Additional information and application details are available through the Office of Travel and Tourism online portal.
The application deadline is Aug. 11.
