WEMO webinar to explore upcoming election preparations

Women Elected Municipal Officials will host a webinar for all MMA members on Oct. 8 to discuss the administration of the November elections.

A panel of municipal and state election officials, along with representatives of non-governmental organizations, will provide insights on resident engagement and the sharing of election information and voter resources. Discussion topics will include strategies for fostering public trust, safeguarding the right to vote, and effective methods for combating misinformation.

Panelists include:
• Celia Canavan, executive director, League of Women Voters of Massachusetts
• Traci Griffith, director, Racial Justice Program, ACLU of Massachusetts
• Danielle Sicard, town clerk, Easton, and president of the Massachusetts Town Clerks Association
• Tanisha Sullivan, president of the NAACP New England Area Conference
• Michelle Tassinari, director and legal counsel, Elections Division, Secretary of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
