Position: Director of Public Works

Reports to: Mayor
The city of Holyoke is seeking a Director of Public Works to oversee and manage all DPW operations, including highways, bridges, sidewalks, sewers, drains, refuse collection, wastewater treatment, flood control, forestry, municipal buildings, and the city’s vehicle fleet. This role involves planning, directing, budgeting, and supervising large-scale capital projects, enforcing state and city regulations, managing contracts, and ensuring effective, safe, and efficient public works services.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree with 10 years of upper-level public works administrative experience, or associate degree with 12 years, or 15 years of relevant experience.
Professional Engineer license and Project Management Certification preferred.
Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills required.
Details:
Full-time, 35 hrs/week, Monday–Friday (8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.)
Salary: $94,521–$130,733 (Grade 15, SCH A)
