Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
Municipal officials and state legislators are invited to these free meetings, which are an informal opportunity to talk with area legislators, fellow municipal officials and MMA staff about key legislative initiatives and important issues facing communities.
Formal legislative sessions have ended for the 2015-16 session, but the MMA is already looking ahead to the start of the next legislative session, which begins in January.
Discussions for the breakfast meetings will likely include economic development and housing, municipal recycling, and funding for the Chapter 90 local road program.
City and town officials from every community are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to talk about local successes and challenges and to provide input on the MMA’s legislative priorities for the next two years.
Coffee and muffins will be available at 8, with introductions and presentations starting at 8:15. The meetings will conclude by 10 a.m.
Attendees are asked to contact their legislators and invite them to attend as well.
Meetings are scheduled for the following locations:
