Who is a member?
Our members are the local governments of Massachusetts and their elected and appointed leadership.
The MMA is partnering with Suffolk University’s Moakley Center for Public Management to offer during the 2018-19 academic year an advanced certificate program equivalent to five graduate-level courses. The courses, designed for municipal employees interested in furthering their career in local government.
Courses will be held in Foxborough and Northampton.
The program, taught by Suffolk University faculty, will meet on 25 Fridays during the school year, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Participants should expect six hours of homework each week in addition to the class time.
Those who have completed the course work will earn a Certificate in Local Government Leadership and Management as well as up to 12 graduate credit waivers that may be applied to the master’s in public administration program at Suffolk.
