The Massachusetts Municipal Personnel Association will hold its second annual Fall Conference on Sept. 27 and 28.

The conference will run on Thursday, Sept. 27,  from 8:30 a.m. – 4:15 p.m. with cocktail reception at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7:15 p.m. and Friday, Sept. 28, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

Following last year’s successful debut, the 2018 program will be held in a larger venue to accommodate all interested members.

Topics will include diversity in the municipal workplace; classification and compensation; electronic on-boarding; marijuana in Massachusetts; labor laws; and policies that all human resources directors must have.

This year’s conference will feature multiple workshops, including a breakout session with a municipal HR 101 and HR 202 version running concurrently, for those who are newer to the HR profession and for veteran personnel.

The two-day conference will be held at the Cranwell Resort in Lenox.
