Information sessions will be held this month in Foxborough and Northampton for the MMA and Suffolk University’s Certificate Program in Local Government Leadership and Management.

The graduate-level academic program provides a well-rounded understanding of public-sector management. Class topics include administrative strategies in local government, budgeting and financial management, and human resources management. Classes are taught by Suffolk faculty and held on Fridays from September through May.

By June of this year, approximately 250 local officials will have graduated from the program, which is a partnership between the MMA and Suffolk University’s Moakley Center for Public Management.

During the 2018-2019 academic year, the program will be held in Foxborough and Northampton – the 11th and 12th programs to be held since the certificate program was launched in 2011.

Information sessions for prospective students will be held on March 15, 3-4:30 p.m., at Foxborough Town Hall (40 South St.) and on March 21, 10-11:30 a.m., at the Northampton Senior Center (67 Conz St.).

Registration is not required for the information sessions.
